Smart Solutions for Smart Grids

CIGRE and Chesf have joined forces to organize and organize the VIII Workspot (International Workshop on Power Transformers, Equipment, Substations and Materials), in Recife, from November 20th to 23rd. Treetech was one of the sponsors of the event, with a stand in Expose Workspot. In addition, the company presented a case study for seminar participants.

The responsible for the presentation was Marcos Alves, doctor in energy from USP and technical manager of Treetech. In his paper (which counted on the participation of Daniel Pedrosa – also from Treetech and Ézio Machado from Engie), he compared the effectiveness of off-line tests and online monitoring in the detection of defects in bushings.

Treetech’s technical manager, Marcos Alves represented the company in the presentation of the article: “Comparison of the Efficacy of Off-Line Tests vs. On-Line Monitoring of Bushings for Failure Detection – Field Experience”

A pioneer in the development of sensors and systems for monitoring electric assets at the substation, Treetech counts in its product line with BM Bushing Monitor, which, through measurements of capacitance, tangent delta and leakage current, can detect still incipient faults in condensivas bushings.
