Treetech could not stay out of the XXV SNPTEE - the biggest Brazilian electrical sector event. This year (2019) the event will occur at Expominas in Belo Horizonte, on November…
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO – US), recognizing the uniqueness and differentiation of monitoring architecture developed by Treetech, granted the patent for the named system:
DECENTRALIZED SYSTEM FOR REMOTE MONITORING REAL-TIME POWER TRANSFORMERS, REACTORS, CIRCUIT BREAKERS, INSTRUMENT TRANSFORMERS, SWITCHGEAR AND HIGH VOLTAGE EQUIPMENT AND COUNTERPARTS TO POWER PLANTS AND ELECTRIC POWER SUBSTATIONS
Replacing the centralized architecture based on PLCs and HMIs, Treetech innovated with a system based on own sensors that provide information directly to the online monitoring software. This, composed of independent and scalable modules also supports the inclusion of third-party sensors.
Through the modules, the user composes, according to their needs, their own monitoring system, making it possible also building centers of excellence maintenance / operations at the corporate level. The decentralized architecture also provides higher availability and system reliability, since each smart sensor is independent and has specialized functions.
The patented architecture of the monitoring system Treetech – SIGMA comprises:
- Intelligent sensors (IEDs) to measure variables, unattended processing of results and self-diagnostic functions;
- Physical means of flexible communications, with applications via cable, optical fiber, GPRS and Wi-Fi;
- Several communication protocol: Modbus, DNP, IEC 61850;
- Central database for recording and organizing all measurements web platform to display all diagnostic electric park on one screen;
- Open structure allowing for easy integration with other systems applied to the substation and the company’s management.
The engineering models (algorithms) embedded follow the recommendations of international standards such as IEC, IEEE and Cigré, and applying the corporate level does sized distinction equipment (voltage and power rating), manufacturer (brand) and time life (existing assets newly acquired).
This patent paves the way for the ongoing processes in the European Union, Brazil and other countries. Several technical and commercial partners in Brazil and around the world, rely on the authorization of Treetech to apply corporately patented platform.
Treetech technology, 100% Brazilian, developed with the support of MCTI through Finep, consolidates global trends in intelligent management of assets and provides the entire power sector the necessary tool for the continuity of energy supply through the effective integration of substation the Smart Grid.
