IDM – OLTC Torque Monitor

The IED monitors the OLTC condition online and sends alarms for incipient abnormalities and maintenance warnings with antecedence. For this, IDM uses measurements, oscillography and algorithms that supervise motor’s torque signature during tap changes, operation time and energy, motor start current, reversing switch’s contacts wear, operation number, length of service and heaters’ condition, among others.
