Elektro participates in training for commissioning of Treetech IEDs

Between August 29th and 30th, Treetech received in its headquarters, in Atibaia / SP, Elektro employees, who participated in a training for commissioning of IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices).

The courses, taught by a team of technicians and engineers of Treetech composed by André Ferreira, Luís Lopes, Murilo Toledo and Anderson Silva, addressed a series of IEDs, such as the GMP – Gas and Humidity Monitor, the MBR – Membrane Rupture Relay, and TM – Temperature Monitor.

Special attention was directed to Temperature Monitor: in addition to its more common use in the control, protection and thermal control of power transformers, the course addressed some of the special features of the product, such as pre-cooling – to reduce the loss of life of the insulation in case of high loads; cooling exercise – to prevent failure of fans and pumps; Expert algorithm – for OLTC temperature differential monitoring; and modularity with decentralization – which brings greater availability in case of failure.

Several Elektro employees, including technicians and engineers, participated in the training, which focused on the products already installed in the company’s substations.
